Outfitting Design — Basic user training

This training is meant for 3D designers. No specific knowledge about the software is necessary when participating in this course, only some basic knowledge about Marine design, making drawings and piping isometrics and spools is recommended.

Maximum participants 4-8 users

Day 1

  • Introduction to CADMATIC Outfitting
  • CADMATIC desktop
  • Following items are explained during the training project: Ribbon, panes, ownership management, information, views, inspection view, Navigation commands, Object types, Edit sets, Object Selection context menu Placing equipment, routing of pipes, inserting standard components

Day 2

  • Continuing and finishing the training project
  • PM Session, COS Database
  • eBrowser navigation 2
  • Edit sets

Day 3

  • Making holes and Penetrations
  • Insert and edit Beams
  • Model Plates
  • Route Ducts
  • Route Cable trays
  • Using Collisions tool

Day 4

  • PM drawings, view tool, visualization tool/revision tool
  • Annotating views and pages
  • Bill of material (BOM)
  • Generate listings
  • Plotting and exporting documents

Day 5 3

  • Manage Isometrics and Spool documents, making and controlling the ISO groups
  • Creating and updating isometric and spool documents

1. CADMATIC Outfitting - allows designers to have different types of Plant Modeller areas, please check your license content
2. eBrowser full or light version must be available if training is on-site
3. Day 5 is only necessary if a customer uses CADMATIC Pipe Isos&Spools creation tool
