On 4 October, SEFT Ship Design from Istanbul Türkiye and Cadmatic signed a contract for the implementation of Cadmatic marine design software solutions. The contract includes the implementation of Cadmatic’s ship design applications over the next 3 years and will replace SEFT’s current design software.
SEFT is a renowned shipbuilding design and engineering company with a strong focus on creating tomorrow's solutions for the defense industry. It has earned a reputation for innovative, successful designs for a wide range of ships. The company is a leader in creating highly qualified naval ships and special-purpose vessels. SEFT’s design references include special project designs from small fishing boats to chemical tankers, and from naval vessels to commercial vessels.
“At SEFT, we are currently designing commercial vessels, special purpose ships, naval ships and sailing/land power plants projects. This is very challenging to manage considering the range of the portfolio. We also carry out all ship engineering services in different disciplines under a single umbrella in all shipbuilding stages from conceptual design to ship delivery. This is why we have to be confident that all the systems are correctly integrated and that all possible clashes have been eliminated before building a vessel. We strongly believe that Cadmatic will be our solution partner with their efficient and well-proven “integrated engineering and design software solutions”. We also believe that Cadmatic will be “the common language” we use to collaborate with shipyards and design offices as it is increasing its market share in the shipbuilding industry day by day," says Mr. Semih Zorlu, SEFT General Manager.
“I am delighted to welcome SEFT to the Cadmatic family. Shipbuilding in Türkiye is booming at the moment, and we have gained several important clients in Türkiye recently. We also see more and more requests for subcontracting to be done with Cadmatic software. I cannot wait for SEFT to start benefiting from our data-driven solutions,” says Geert Tepper, Cadmatic Director Business Development - Marine industry.
