New software release 2025H1
The latest version of Cadmatic software (2025H1)) is absolutely packed with exciting new features. We've made designers' lives easier and elevated the user experience to a whole new level!
Top Picks – what we are most excited about in 2025H1!
Outfitting/3D Plant Design
- Faster, easier duct routing: The duct routing interface now mirrors the look and feel of pipe routing, making it easier to learn and quicker to use. It’s a more intuitive experience from the start.
- STEP hierarchy support – both ways: STEP file workflows just got more powerful. You can now import STEP files with hierarchy intact – and open the original file from the property pane for context. Exporting to STEP is also possible, including scheduled exports, streamlining collaboration across tools and teams.
- Expanded CAD format support for easier collaboration: The Cadmatic Simplifier now supports a wide range of new 3D formats – including SAT, Parasolid, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Inventor, and Solid Edge. That means it’s easier than ever to import models from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors directly into Cadmatic, without extra conversions or delays. Co-design just got a lot more seamless.
- Automatic dimensions in 3D documents: Dimensioning just got a major upgrade. With automatic dimensioning now available, you can generate equipment layout and piping installation documents in seconds – saving hours of manual work. The setup is simple, and fine-tuning is fast with visualized measurement points and stretch commands. This is only the beginning: based on customer feedback, we’re expanding to more document types and dimension styles in upcoming releases.
- Smarter cable routing interface: Navigate cable routing with ease. The new cable list view offers improved search, clearer cable quantity info, and handy filters – all dockable to your main window or second screen. Frequently used commands are now just a right-click away, while the classic Cable Router window remains available for those who prefer it.
P&ID
- Smarter piping with the new list editor: Creating and managing line data just got easier. The new editor for systems and lines lets you generate position IDs, import from Excel, and dynamically manage “from–to” data based on your published P&IDs. A built-in topology check ensures continuity across your pipeline, helping you catch issues before they cause trouble.
- Intelligent NS propagation and automatic reducers: NS data now flows more intuitively through your design. You can easily track where automatic size changes apply, and reducers are turned automatically – saving you time and reducing manual tweaks.
Hull
Hull
- Improved handling of split plates: Previously beta, now officially part of the release! The enhanced method for handling complex plates – introduced in the 2024T3 beta as Jumbo Panels – is now fully included in 2025H1. Plates split by soft seams, holes, or splitters are treated so that each plate part has its own logistical record, including individual thickness and material type. This simplifies the design of large structures with varying properties and saves time in both modeling and production planning.
- PDF instructions from WBD stages: Visualize your build like never before. With the new Generate PDF feature in Hull Viewer, you can automatically create PDF documents showing the building stages by WBD blocks – complete with images. It’s an easy way to produce clear, realistic instructions that support better communication and smoother assembly.
- AI-generated bracket files: Use text input to predefine complex geometries with Cadmatic AI. You can now create, edit, and interpret bracket type files using simple text prompts. It’s a faster, smarter way to define project norms – reducing manual work and improving detailing efficiency..
Information Management
- 4D Sequencing in eShare: Step through time and track progress like never before. The new 4D Sequencing feature lets you visualize project evolution directly in eShare’s 3D view, using status data or external sources. It’s a powerful way to understand what’s happening – and when – in your project.
- Presentation Mode (beta): Show your models in the best possible light. Presentation Mode brings live-rendered ray tracing to eShare, delivering stunning visual quality for reviews, presentations, or design validation. It’s an impressive new way to explore your models.
- eGo now speaks your language: The eGo app now supports localized user interfaces in Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese – making it easier than ever for global teams to access project data in their native language.
Electrical
- Faster local database with SQLite: The new support for SQLite as a local database format brings a significant performance boost compared to Microsoft Access. It eliminates the risk of unexpected updates, ensuring smoother workflows and faster file operations.
- Smarter network tracing and single-line automation: New features in electrical network handling allow you to view group/feeder numbers and distribution board IDs for all connected devices, cables, and distribution boards. Even better – you can now automatically generate single-line diagrams from a designed electrical network in an arrangement drawing.
Draw
- Smarter and smoother Draw experience: CADMATIC Draw is now faster and easier to use. You can customize the quick access toolbar for instant access to your most-used tools, while IFC models load more efficiently thanks to major performance gains – using up to 50% less memory.
