CADMATIC adds value to Dutch educational system
Posted on October 26, 2019
The first contact between CADMATIC and Impossible Robotics was made some years ago at the opening of a field lab for the Region of Smart Factories. CADMATIC was invited to attend the unveiling of FRC robots. The impressive robots were constructed by inexperienced middle school students. Since the event, CADMATIC has sponsored Impossible Robotics.
"Besides the direct financial help, CADMATIC validates our initiative and adds value to the Dutch educational system,” says Impossible Robotics coach Mr. Henk van der Wal.
Impossible Robotics is a team for FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Competitions. The team members are from seven different schools throughout the northern part of the Netherlands. FIRST aims to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills. From October 2014, Impossible Robotics has participated in FIRST representing the Netherlands and has completed five seasons.
Impossible Robotics inspires children and teenagers to become enthusiastic about robotics and technologies, thereby building bridges between schools and companies and reforming the Dutch educational system by providing a multi-disciplinary learning platform. Last season, the team won the Industrial Design Award at the Mexican FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) Regional. The next challenge for them is the FIRST Global Challenge on 24-27 October in Dubai. They are looking forward to bringing back another inspiring story.
