"Cadmatic is highly powerful, flexible, and easily adaptable." - Federico Busquier, Senior Manager

Greene Enterprise has become a trailblazer in developing innovative solutions for transforming waste into valuable energy and products. Since implementing Cadmatic’s technology in 2017, Greene has experienced remarkable growth, establishing itself as a key player in the circular economy.

“Our technology has been a driving force in redefining waste management and material recovery,” says Federico Busquier, Senior Manager at Greene.

Greene’s proprietary processes and focus on sustainability have made them a sought-after partner in waste management, leading to substantial growth and new avenues for innovation.

Addressing complex design and operational challenges

As Greene scaled its operations, it faced increasing challenges in designing and operating gasification plants. Ensuring precision in plant design, integrating diverse systems, and managing a growing portfolio of complex projects required advanced tools and a streamlined approach.

Federico explains, “We needed solutions that could integrate data seamlessly and reduce the risk of errors, especially as we expanded into larger, more complex projects.”

Streamlining design efficiency with Cadmatic P&ID and Plant 3D

Greene’s adoption of Cadmatic’s P&ID and Plant 3D solutions marked a turning point in their engineering processes.

“There was a clear before and after with Cadmatic,” Federico emphasizes. “The integration of 2D and 3D graphical elements with engineering data led to a drastic reduction in errors and the time required to generate lists.”

According to Federico, the tools’ flexibility and user-friendly interface allowed Greene’s engineering teams to adapt quickly, enhancing their ability to manage the growing complexity of their projects.

“Cadmatic’s structure is clear and well-documented, and its service-oriented team ensured our engineers received the necessary training to maximize its potential,” Federico notes.
Federico Busquier, Senior Manager at Greene has been impressed with Cadmatic's ability to reduce errors and improve product documentation and integration.

Empowering plant management with CADMATIC eShare

In recent years, Greene has expanded its use of Cadmatic solutions to include CADMATIC eShare, a powerful tool for plant handovers and system integration.

Federico shares, “With eShare, we can navigate the plant and access, for each piece of equipment, instrument, pipe, or valve, instruction manuals, detailed drawings, electrical schematics, and any associated document.”

By integrating eShare with SCADA systems, Greene has streamlined plant operations, allowing real-time telemetry and efficient data management.

“For a plant with over 5,000 devices, eShare serves as the gateway to all information,” Federico adds.

Achieving growth and innovation – scaling operations with precision and efficiency

Greene’s growth trajectory has been nothing short of impressive. They now operate multiple large-scale material recovery plants, including three under construction in Spain, with investments exceeding €100 million.

Federico highlights the significance of their Elche facility, which has been instrumental in testing and fine-tuning their technology.

“Our plant has undergone numerous upgrades and remains critical in validating the feasibility of processing diverse waste materials.”

Enhancing team collaboration with integrated solutions

Cadmatic’s solutions have also facilitated smoother collaboration within Greene’s expanding teams.

Federico explains, “Cadmatic accommodates the growth of engineering teams well, enabling us to integrate data and processes seamlessly.” This integration has allowed Greene to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency across its operations.

Looking to a sustainable future

Greene is poised for continued growth, with plans to construct additional waste recovery plants and further refine their technology.

“We’re building a team of young, brilliant professionals balanced with experienced experts, which helps us remain innovative while maintaining a strong foundation,” Federico notes.

The company also plans to integrate eShare with its project management systems, enhancing oversight and operational efficiency.

Federico concludes, “Our partnership with Cadmatic has been instrumental in achieving our goals, and we look forward to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in waste valorization solutions.”
