On 19-20 May, CADMATIC held its global Users’ Meeting in Prague. The bi-annual meeting attracted more than 190 users from different countries. All participants showed a high level of satisfaction with this Users’ Meeting.
On 19-20 May, CADMATIC held its global Users’ Meeting in Prague. The bi-annual meeting attracted more than 190 users from different countries. CADMATIC CEO Mr. Jukka Rantala opened the users’ meeting with his welcome speech. To date, 2015 was the best year for CADMATIC. We have more than 850 customer organizations globally, including TSUNEISHI Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, Dubai Drydocks World, SCA Obbola, Pöyry and Damen Shipyard etc. Moreover, CADMATIC merged operations with NCG (Numeriek Centrum Groningen) in September 2015.
On the first day of the Users’ Meeting, CADMATIC’s global strategic partner Tekla (Now called Trimble) gave a presentation on the interoperability between CADMATIC Plant Design Software and Tekla Structures. The picture shows how the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) interface looks between CADMATIC and Tekla Structures software.

On the second day of the Users’ Meeting, Swedish giant in pulp & paper industry SCA Obbola gave a presentation on CADMATIC Information Management Solution. SCA Obbola uses CADMATIC eBrowser for design review in projects. eShare has been used for maintenance and process operators. SCA publishes from 3D model to eBrowser and eShare every night so users can see modifications from day before. At the same time, SCA is able to link eShare to other software as SAP and Sitebase.
Dubai Drydocks World’s presentation featured CADMATIC’s sustainability in their core engineering business. In 2015, CADMATIC system has been selected as a winner based on its own capabilities and user friendliness for Drydocks World’s specific engineering requirements enhancement. In less than one year, the Engineering Department has achieved the installation of CADMATIC modules on about 170 top-notch workstations as well as completed 3D modeling & production documentations of about 6400 tons of steel for Borwin3 HVDC platform. Drydocks World has also started 3D modeling & design documentations for a Rig Integrity Assurance Program (RIAP Yemillah) and 3D modeling and design documentations for FSRU Excelerate Energy fleet.
In addition to these fantastic customer presentations, participants could attend workshops to hear about the latest CADMATIC software updates.
All participants showed a high level of satisfaction with this users’ meeting. They are looking forward to implementing all the new features presented in the workshops.
At the same time the meeting provided a platform to enable all CADMATIC’s global users to communicate with each other and enlarge their networks.
