Project-specific data management

The real-time multi-user environment makes centralised management of the project’s design data possible. In CADMATIC Electrical, the same information can be found in different documents. A change made to data in one place is updated in real time to all of its occurrences. You can also mass edit the project’s design data efficiently and generate the project’s reports from centralised information.

In CADMATIC Electrical, the same information can be found in different places, such as the installation drawing, centre schema, main line diagram or circuit schema. The technology allows you to avoid mistakes, because a change made in one place is updated in real time to all of its occurrences in the project in question. In our opinion, there is no need for the designer to spend time on routine data updates; that task belongs to the CADMATIC Electrical design system.

The table-style user interface in the database offers a view of the whole project’s design data. This makes it possible to process and use all information created in the project through one view.

A project with one or many designers – easily done with CADMATIC Electrical!

When CADMATIC Electrical is used, the same project-specific settings, product model libraries, product databases, information about the project’s devices etc. are available to the whole design team. The design data of the whole project is centralised and can be found in CADMATIC Electrical's real-time Project Tree view.

The tree-style Project Tree view improves quality and design data management. CADMATIC Electrical’s real-time project tree view enables centralised management of the project’s design data. It allows you to find project design data and stay on track as the project progresses about what is located where.

The project tree offers you a centralised view of all you need:

The project tree allows you to add design data imported from other applications to different document types. It always keeps you up to date on what you have placed in the drawings and what is still missing.

More efficient work with mass editing

Edit information at one go in either the database or in Excel. For example, switchboard IDs, cable types and label data are automatically updated to all related occurrences throughout the whole project. This saves time and trouble and prevents mistakes.

CADMATIC Electrical adapts to different kinds of design processes

CADMATIC Electrical’s database-based approach enables several different types of design processes and controls the project’s design data from start to finish. You can start the design from different places, and the information can be completed or edited along the way using different applications, the project tree or the database.

With the open and intelligent Excel import, you can import design data from outside the system and hand data back in Excel format. In reimporting, the system automatically compares the changed data and informs the user using color codes.

You can also import completed subsections of your old plans, both from the database and as drawings. They can be easily edited and integrated into a new project.

CADMATIC Electrical’s additional information offers freedom from the limitations of the database

You can freely create new data fields for different aspects in the project database. The data fields can be echoed to the desired attributes in the drawings, and they can be used in reports and data models.

You can also add additional data boundaries to the project, such as contract boundary information, special information about devices, construction phases, service areas and procurement packages, and other similar data that can be used to group data in the database or reports or transfer it further in the process to parties such as the principal designer. The specifications can be made individually or with area boundaries – however you like.
