2009 marks the 25th birthday of Cadmatic 3D design software. Over the years our software solution has
developed into a top of the range engineering design solution for plant and ship design with a proven track record of optimizing our customer’s resources around the world. More than 4500 licenses have been sold in 42 countries up to date and the number of users is increasing rapidly. We have in particular in the last few years seen
remarkable growth in the amount of new Cadmatic users with an annual growth rate that has remained above 40% from 2006-2009. What has been particularly pleasing is the growing amount of EPC's and owner/operators that are showing an interest in Cadmatic.
History
The Cadmatic 3D design software was originally developed in the mid 80's in Cadmatic’s mother company, Elomatic. The aim was to take advantage of 3D technology in improving the design, visualization, distribution and total cost efficiency of engineering projects. The pioneering development was so successful, however, that it was decided to start marketing the software to other engineering companies under the Cadmatic brand name. Today the Cadmatic brand stands for a comprehensive engineering solution that has applications throughout the entire plant or ship life cycle. The Cadmatic name is also associated with the most effective solution for globally distributed design (World Wide Engineering) on the market.
The road ahead
Cadmatic’s success has been built on understanding our customers’ engineering needs and delivering
solutions which directly address these requirements. On the road ahead we will continue to work together closely with our customers and stakeholders to ensure that our complete and multidisciplinary package meets the engineering and business environment needs of today and the future. Our guiding values will continue to be our drive to optimize our customers’ engineering and operational resources. On our 25th birthday we look back proudly on what we have achieved and have confidence in our ability to meet the technological challenges that our customers will face in the future.
