CADMATIC Software is used as a main plant design system in Mondi's Richards Bay pulp Mill expansion, in Durban Paper Mill expansion and Merebank Paper Mill expansion.

Mill engineering is carried out with CADMATIC 3D Plant Design Software by several companies in several locations, mainly in South Africa, France and Finland. Cadmatic's eBrowser concept is widely used for the project follow-up.

Richards Bay's plant's existing 445,000 tonne/yr bleached eucalyptus fiber line was mothballed following the startup of the new unit. The Richards Bay facility also manufactures 130,000 tonnes/yr of unbleached pine pulp, which feeds the plant's 230,000 tonne/yr white-top kraftliner machine.
