NUPAS-CADMATIC CONTEK 2D
This NUPAS-CADMATIC module consists of xEagle 3D general
purpose
CAD/CAM software and the hull shape database to store and
interpolate
lines of the ship concerning hull and related constructions. The Contek 2D application
is able to draw 2D-construction drawings, etc.
based on the 3D-hull shape.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
PLANTEK
With this module general drawings can be made based upon
Contek 2D.
By using a strong menu tablet and icons, general drawings
are generated.
Drawings like General Arrangement, Main Section, Safety Plan, Deck Layout,
Manholes,
Doors plan, Construction Plan, etc. can be produced.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
3D SHOW EXTENDED
With NUPAS-CADMATIC 3D Show Extended the user has the
possibility
to start engineering of the hull construction from the start. This is done by using
the NUPAS-CADMATIC 3D product model. During this early
stage the
information about the construction, like ships weight,
centre of gravity,
is known in real time. The system guides the user with a
maximum of assistance
to build the model.

CONTEK 3D
By using the above mentioned NUPAS-CADMATIC product model
the engineer is able to do all the detailed engineering
of the construction
of the hull. With NUPAS-CADMATIC Contek 3D all details
are engineered
on the screen and automatically the product model takes
care of
the consequences of the modifications in one view having
the effect
on the other views. This means that drawings, product
model
and production information are from the beginning on the
same updated level.

DIAGRAM
NUPAS-CADMATIC Diagram is an integrated, database-driven
design system
for P&ID diagram design. Information flow from piping
diagrams
to later design phases is assured by means of direct
database link (pipelines, systems, specifications).
As documents different piping and instrumentation diagrams,
equipment lists, pipeline lists, valve lists, etc. are produced.

PLANT MODELLER
NUPAS-CADMATIC Plant Modeller is an integrated, database-driven
design module for 3D layout, piping and HVAC design of
machinery areas.
As documents layout drawings, piping drawings, material,
equipment etc. lists,
axonometric, perspective and shaded views are produced.

PIECE PART LISTING
From the hull product model detailed part lists can be obtained.
Information as part number, location, weight, needed
production
steps in the production shop to produce the parts, a.s.o.
is available.
The data can also be exported the other material
administration systems.

PART GENERATION GEOMETRY
With this Auto Part module, the plate-parts of the
engineered hull construction
of the ship are automatically generated: the geometry of
the plate
parts for the flame cutting including all information for marking, cut-outs and so on.
All the parts are ready for nesting.
Profiles and stiffeners are generated from the model.
Data such as length,
shape and end form-types are listed as production-data.
The profiles are automatically nested in the ordered
profile bars.
Detailed information as needed for bending (extra length
is also included).
NUPAS-CADMATIC
SEAMS & BUTTS
With this module the NUPAS-CADMATIC 3D user has the
possibility to
add seams and butts into the hull shape database.
The user projects the lines which are defined in one of
the three views
(top, aft, side view) onto the ship's shape.
Besides the projection of the lines, the seams and butts
can also be interpolated on the ship's hull shape database. This module is not graphically
orientated; however, the results can be shown with the
standard features
inside the NUPAS-CADMATIC functionality. It is also
possible to show
the lines by making use of the NUPAS-CADMATIC module
"Hullshape",
to get a full 3D picture of the seams and butts.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
3D SHELL EXPANSION
With this module the user can produce the shell expansion
drawings
in the four different views. This software module draws
the view according
to the "Area" (box) of that part of the ship
that you want to see.
It includes all the seams and butts together with the
existing inner
construction of the hull which is connected with the
ship's shape,
such as decks, girders, frames, and so on. The views that
you can get
are Aft, Side, Top, and Spacial views.
After one of the views is presented on the screen you can
determine
various kind of information, such as plate information,
bottom seam
of the plate, top seam, after butt, front butt, plate number, plate
thickness,
and several kinds of text information.
The shell expansion view is stored and treated in the
same flexible way as
when inserting the views in a drawing by the other NUPAS-CADMATIC
Hull modules. In addition to generating the views, the
seams and butts can also
be added graphically in the view itself. Also special
seams and butts
can be made for a specific area inside a block section of
the ship at any time.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
SHELL PLATES
After adding the seams and butts to the hull shape database,
this module handles the development of the shell plates.
In this program
the double curved plates are calculated in a flat pattern.
While the plate is being developed the program takes care
of elongation
caused by double curvature. Moreover all the marking
lines of frames
stringers are on the plate. Templates for bending are
generated
by the system and automatically nested for production.
Bending information in tabular form can be obtained.

PENBED DATA
Penbed data can be automatially extracted from the model
for the larger panels.
This feature is not a standard feature and has to be
modified according
to the specific wishes and standards of the customer.

NESTING
Interactive nesting software module to optimise the raw
plate material.
NUPAS-CADMATIC nesting is fully interactive and is able
to handle information
for gas-, plasma- and laser cutting machines. Features as bridges,
marking, text, contour optimisation,
net weights, cutting length are all included.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
NESTING - Autonest feature
Additionally to the interactive nesting module, an
optional automatic
nesting feature is available. This unique feature can be
used during the interactive
besting session.
Maximum flexibility is achieved by using Autonest feature
with combination
of interactive nesting actions. This gives the big
advantage of combining
specific interactive nesting of f.i. some large parts and
by Autonest
to optimise the use of plate with medium and smaller parts.
It is also possible to use Autonest without using the
interactive actions.
NUPAS-CADMATIC
PIPE
NUPAS-CADMATIC Pipe is a database-driven module of
the NUPAS-CADMATIC Piping system which efficiently
produces
pipe isometric drawings, spools, material take-offs, etc.
information
for manufacturing and installation of piping. It reads
input files
directly from NUPAS-CADMATIC Plant Modeller module.

2D DXF interface is used to export data
from NUPAS-CADMATIC Plantek to other drafting systems.

This interface reads into NUPAS-CADMATIC Diagram and
Plant Modeller modules
AutoCAD compatible 2D DXF files to be used as reference drawings. It also generates
from NUPAS-CADMATIC Diagram and Plant Modeller modules
AutoCAD
compatible intelligent 2D DXF files to be read into
drafting programs
that have a 2D DXF read-in feature.
3D DXF in PLANT MODELLER
This interface reads into NUPAS-CADMATIC Plant Modeller
module AutoCAD
compatible 3D DXF files, like from xEagle, to be used as
true 3D geometric models
within Plant Modeller so that e.g. collision detection
can be run.
3D
DXF out PLANT MODELLER
This interface generates from NUPAS-CADMATIC Plant
Modeller
module 3D DXF files to be read into e.g. AutoCAD.
