Ingersoll Rand gaining efficiencies with CADMATIC

Ingersoll uses CADMATIC to model the utility houses of power plants and petrochemicals plants. The company previously used Pro-E and AutoCAD software to model the piping works supplied in their turnkey solution projects, but decided to implement CADMATIC in order to gain more efficiency.

According to Mitesh R. Shah from Ingersoll the preparation of isometrics in 2D was very time consuming and only provided them with about 70 % accuracy.

"With the help of CADMATIC we can generate isometrics and BOM with 100 % accuracy. This saves us time and money as we don't need to send out extra materials anymore", says Mr Shah.

Ingersoll currently has four projects in the pipeline for modeling related to power plants for the Rajasthan government and NTPC
